Tailoring in the blood?

The recently published 1911 Census is proving an irresistable draw to my sister and her boyfriend – one snippet they’ve just uncovered is that our paternal Great Grandparents were both in the tailoring trade.  He was a “Tailor Maker” and she a “Sewing Machinist – Tailoring“.

I guess this wasn’t so unusual back then, but nevertheless it pleasant to muse on whether this is why I’m so drawn to sewing.
